If you fight with the Reapers, then you need to do it in style. Here are the best costumes from BioWare’s Mass Effect trilogy.
Throughout the Mass Effect trilogy, Shepard has a huge responsibility as he tries to save the world. Every fight he gets involved in can decide the fate of the entire galaxy. However, the commander always makes time before missions to clean up and look perfect.
And in each game there is a huge number of costumes in which you can dress up the protagonist. Moreover, you are free to even choose a uniform for your allies, especially in the first part. Of course, many players are guided by the characteristics of their clothes, but the appearance of the team is also important. So, here are the most stylish costumes from the entire trilogy.
Researcher Human Armor (Mass Effect 1)
The Explorer armor from the first game may seem a little too mundane, but this simplicity is what makes it so appealing. She would look great even in an all white color, and with blue stripes, she becomes even more interesting.
In games, there are other types of armor made in white with splashes of other colors – armor “Phoenix”, for example. However, neither pink nor yellow looks as pleasing as blue, especially in the human version of the armor.
Turian Titan Armor (Mass Effect 1)
Garrus is one of the best companions in the series, but his costumes in the first part, unfortunately, are far from ideal. And you can fix this with the help of the “Titan” armor, which looks great on representatives of any race. The camouflage suit in black and white looks amazing, even though the armor designers shouldn’t have been so into black.
In addition to camouflage, the helmet also looks great. In all other armor options for Garrus, his face is slightly awkwardly sticking out of the suit, but in the case of the Titan armor, this misunderstanding has been corrected.
DLC Miranda Costume (Mass Effect 2)
Throughout the main Mass Effect 2 game, Miranda sports two decent costumes. They, of course, look gorgeous on her, but they are clearly unable to provide the heroine with proper protection during hostilities.
However, the developers at BioWare decided to update her wardrobe in the DLC, giving her a new suit that already looks like solid armor. And the black color goes well with the muted yellow, the signature color of the Cerberus organization. Particular attention should be paid to the visor. Helmets and goggles in Mass Effect often look bad, but not in the case of this costume.
Terminus armor (Mass Effect 2 and 3)
Terminus systems are not controlled by the Citadel Council, so sometimes unthinkable things happen there – one of the local residents, for example, dared to create incredibly stylish armor. Black and orange tend to go well together, and this suit is no exception.
Moreover, the very shape of the armor looks attractive, and the shoulders look especially great. But it is not the shoulders that help to instill fear in the hearts of opponents, but the luxurious helmet on Shepard’s head. It looks like it’s a futuristic version of the helmets of the brave ancient Greek soldiers.
N7 Leather Jacket (Mass Effect 3)
Shepard isn’t always armed to the teeth; sometimes even legendary heroes need to rest and relax somehow. But even in his free time from missions, the commander is not at all averse to dressing up with a needle. And this is where a wonderful leather jacket comes in handy.
Such a jacket can be safely worn in real life, which raises an interesting question: why, in fact, even after several centuries they have not gone out of fashion? We will not get an answer to it, but we will get a stylish Shepard in a beautiful jacket and nice jeans. Unfortunately, the female version of the protagonist was not given this costume.
Blood Dragon Armor (Mass Effect 2 & 3)
Fans of BioWare know that Mass Effect isn’t the only major franchise behind the developers. The company also released the awesome Dragon Age series, which some gamers consider to be even better than Mass Effect.
The Blood Dragon armor can be called a combination of two popular universes. It retains the fantasy style of the Dragon Age games, diluting it with futuristic elements. The mixture of two completely different time periods looks very nice, as does the huge dragon located in the center of the armor.
N7 Sweatshirt (Mass Effect 3)
The sweatshirt has remained a versatile daily wear even in the era of intergalactic travel. And if you want your character to look bold while feeling comfortable, then a sweatshirt with an N7 emblem and branded stripes is the best choice. Compared to standard armor sets, it really looks extremely comfortable.
It is also a unique piece of clothing – in the entire trilogy, you will not meet a single civilian wearing the same sweatshirt. But on the pants, the designers at BioWare should have worked a little more, because they look exactly the same as part of the Alliance uniform.
Armor N7 (Mass Effect 3)
Throughout the Mass Effect franchise, it’s hard to find the same iconic clothing as the N7 armor. Shepard wears it in every part of the trilogy, but it changes slightly from game to game.
Best of all looks the variant from Mass Effect 3, in which the traditional colors turned out to be as saturated as possible. The N7 armor, despite its relatively simple design, looks very solid and perfectly suits the strongest of the Spectra.
Warrior Armor (Mass Effect 1)
In the original game, Rex is an ordinary mercenary who fights for credits. However, you can make your ally look like a respected krogan, and you need the “Warrior” armor for this. Considering that the role of the hero expands significantly in future games, this is a suitable choice of costume.
Armor is good not only because it anticipates the development of the character. Thanks to its metallic design, it looks amazing. You will not find anything similar to this costume – at least in the first part of the series.
Colossus Quarian Armor (Mass Effect 1)
Sometimes in RPGs you have to choose between stylish and effective clothing. Fortunately, Mass Effect 1’s Colossus armor is a combination of both: it looks luxurious, combining black and red, and protects all vital organs.
However, Tali got the most stylish version of the suit. In all fairness, all of the quarian costumes look incredible, so it’s no surprise that the Colossus armor is truly outstanding.
