Fight the Icewind Valley with a friend offline, offline.
As a sequel to two great local co-op games – Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 1 and 2 – it was a little strange to see that the third game, called Dark Alliance, would not include local multiplayer. If you played the first two games, then you are probably with a friend, running in circles, killing rats and marveling at the impressive portrayal of the water. The original game was recently re-released on consoles, although the PC version won’t hit until the end of this year.
It seems a little odd that Dark Alliance will only be playable online with two players, but luckily that will change soon after release. As announced by the developers at the presentation, Dark Alliance will eventually be a local or “couch” cooperative.
“Since the launch of Dark Alliance, our top priority is to support 2-player split-screen co-op on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5 and PC. We are working to get everything ready for our first free DLC this summer, ”reads the tweet.
