Forbes magazine has published a list of the ten most valuable esports teams in 2020. It was a difficult year for many of them, as due to the cancellation of many competitions, teams could not advertise various equipment, which ultimately led to a decrease in their marketing value in the eyes of sponsors. In the first place is the American organization Team SoloMid, ahead of Cloud9 and Team Liquid. T1 closes the top.
- SoloMid earned $ 410 million in 2020;
- Cloud9 – $ 350 million
- Team Liquid – $ 310 million
- FaZe Clan – $ 305 million
- 100 Thieves – $ 190 million
- Gen.G – $ 185 million
- Enthusiast Gaming – $ 180 million
- G2 Esports – $ 175 million
- NRG Esports – $ 155 million
- T1 – $ 150 Million
It is interesting that the newcomer of the rating – the Enthusiast Gaming organization, immediately took the seventh place. Based on stock market analysis, some analysts note that purely esports revenue represents a small percentage of total revenue. The lion’s share comes from the sale of computer components, which, given the restrictions this year, brought in significantly less income.
