All Apple smartphones, called iPhones, have a built-in standard web browser called Safari, which is fully optimized for the technical equipment of mobile devices, so that it consumes a minimum amount of energy during operation, and at the same time works as quickly and smoothly as possible. It is a pleasure to visit any websites using this browser, but sometimes things may not be so rosy. Some Internet resources are well-optimized for mobile devices, while others are not at all. Moreover, even if the site is optimized, it may offer an incomplete set of information in the mobile version.
In this case, if the mobile version of the site opens automatically in Safari, you may need to open the full version, but many owners of iPhone smartphones do not know how to do this. A full-fledged version of the site, when it is opened on a smartphone, consumes more system resources and “weighs” more, so it takes more Internet traffic to load it. Often, websites deliberately cut the functionality of mobile versions of sites so that visitors do not waste extra Internet traffic on what they may not need. Especially often this is done on various forums and portals, where computer users have much more opportunities than visitors to the resource from mobile devices.
Recently, on iPad tablets, the full version of any site is always opened by default, at least when using the standard Safari browser, while on others the situation may be different. In order to open the full version of any site on the iPhone, and of any generation, you must first go to the required resource, and then, after that, click on the button in the form of “aA” in the upper left corner, to the left of the address bar. In the window that appears, you need to select the “Request desktop website” option by clicking on it. A full-fledged computer version of the site will open immediately after that. Using it on a small diagonal of the phone screen is not so pleasant and not so convenient, but the full functionality of the website is available.
To return to the mobile version of the site, you can completely close the deposit and open it again, or do the reverse operation by clicking on “aA” and selecting the option “Request a mobile website”, after which the mobile version will open again. In some cases, for example, on the VKontakte social network, you can open a full-fledged computer version of the site only using the interface of the resource itself, by clicking on a certain button on the page. Typically, this button is located at the very bottom of the page. Likewise, you can easily open the full version of a site in Safari on an iPhone running iOS 12, iOS 13, iOS 14, and any other operating systems. As you can see, there is nothing complicated about this, since Apple has simplified this process as much as possible.
