Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown hits the streets of Hong Kong in 2022 | Easy Online Work

The new trailer showcases trendy cars and luxury living in a big, vibrant city.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown was announced in July 2020 as an exotic racing game set in an open-world island setting “recreated at 1: 1 scale,” confirming what we said earlier about the basics of real-world play. It’s July 2021 now, and we have a new trailer that confirms our guess – the action takes place in Hong Kong – and also points to a September 2022 release date.

Much like last year’s teaser, the trailer is a cinematic showcase of exotic cars, swinging beats, the rich and nasty lifestyles, all set on open highways, narrow streets and dangerous Hong Kong shipyards. You know that you have money to light up, sitting behind the wheel of a Bugatti, and your first thought is: “Yeah, let’s go for a drive with this kid … on the beach!”.

It doesn’t sound like the most realistic driving simulator – it all looks like a vague sequence of a James Bond story – but players will obviously make their own narrative choices in their travels: “Choose your path – casual or edgy – and let yourself shine,” said publisher Nakon. I have no idea what that means, but it looks like a supercar version of a Corpo or Street Kid. The Steam page echoes this, referring to your “freedom to progress as you wish.”

No details at this time. It is still unclear how the multiplayer will be implemented – Steam refers it to both MMOs and single-player games – but cars and avatars will be customizable, and this will obviously be an important part of the overall experience: as Nekon put it, “Social status is everything in the world Test Drive Unlimited ”.
