In the viking survival game Valheim, players have only a few modes of movement: they can run, swim and quickly shuffle using portals. That’s all. But there seems to be something missing. No, not horses. Cars! It’s even somehow strange that the creators of Valheim themselves did not think of adding a bright blue eight-wheeled all-terrain vehicle to the game. After all, everyone knows that the Vikings drove the 1983 Lincoln Continentals, right?
In fact, the Drivable Vehicle mod is pretty good. After installing it, press T to get your shiny blue car. But remember that it does not have a hand brake, so it is better to move away from the slopes.
To get inside, go to the driver’s side door and press E (you can also sit in the passenger seat if you approach from the other side). While in the car, do not try to move with the WASD keys, otherwise you will be thrown out. To move, use the arrow keys, and to slow down, press Y. The difficulty lies in the fact that to adjust the camera with the mouse, you have to remove your hand from the arrow keys.
You can shoot down unfortunate greydwarves and hunt deer, the machine will protect you even from the mosquitoes of death, so step on the gas. The steering is very weak, so be careful when cornering, although if you accidentally roll over, the car will straighten automatically.
Unfortunately, there is no engine noise in it, so you will have to publish it yourself, as every self-respecting Viking did, driving around in his eerily silent blue sedan throughout Anglo-Saxon England. You also can’t stuff the trunk with ore (big omission), so don’t get rid of your wooden carts just yet.
The Drivable Vehicle mod, like most others, only works with BepInExPack Valheim, so make sure you have it installed.
