The Egyptian shooter from the 90s is in the process of being updated.
Nightdive is known for remasters and re-releases of classic games including System Shock 2, Blood, Shadow Man, SiN, and Doom64. Last year it became known that Nightdive, together with the studio Throwback, Entertainment, are working on an improved re-release of the 1996 shooter PowerSlave. A trailer for the game with a new name, PowerSlave Exhumed, has already appeared on the network. The producers simply combined the names of the American and European releases.
The shooter PowerSlave was released on the Playstation and Sega Saturn, and a little later on the PC. The game options differ significantly from each other in the arrangement of the levels. The remaster combines all the best of both console versions. The new edition will include support for widescreen mode, SMAA anti-aliasing, anisotropic texture filtering and smooth object interpolation for monitors with high refresh rates, as well as compatibility with modern gamepads.
There is no exact release date yet, however, it is written on the GOG page that the game will be released soon.
